About Tjenzen
Nice to meet you, I'm Lars Jansen. I like to understand how things work and how they can be better. That urge to research, to back things up and only then to create is in everything I do, and it is exactly why I founded Tjenzen.
The name Tjenzen is a nod to my own surname. In Scandinavia, Jensen is the counterpart of Jansen, and combining the two created a name that is distinctive and recognisable. Exactly what I want to achieve for my clients too.
Let's meetWhy Tjenzen?
Working in leisure, hospitality and entertainment, I noticed the same thing time and again: businesses often know their communication could be better, but don't know where to start. Especially for smaller organisations it is hard to set up a full team for it, while the need to keep up is big. I saw an opportunity to bridge that gap. As a steady partner who takes your social media and communication off your hands month after month, and for bigger questions as someone who first finds out what is really going on.
At Tjenzen I don't believe in loose ends. I'm more than a freelancer who only looks at the picture. My strength lies in combining research and execution. Everything I make is based on numbers, facts and the real experiences of guests. I don't design what I like myself, but what works best for your guests.
Guests first
My passion is improving the guest experience. There is nothing better than starting from what guests need and later seeing in practice that it really works. Whether it's a restaurant or shop that wants to professionalise its social media, a family entertainment center that wants to get more out of its venue, or a leisure business that wants to improve its visitor flow: if it makes things better for the guest, I'm happy.
My background
With a background in Creative Business at BUas (Breda University of Applied Sciences) and hands-on experience at big names like Europa-Park, Rulantica and the Efteling, I learned how much details matter in the world of experiences. In recent years I sharpened that knowledge further in project management and media production, and I now use it to help hospitality businesses, shops, family entertainment centers and leisure companies that take their communication seriously.
